Il développe ensuite une mine de jade en joint-venture avec le gouvernement, mine qui lui a rapporté en 2011 US$ 17 millions. Max Myanmar entretient le pont de Thanlwin et touche les revenus(400 Kyats le passage/voiture). Il lance une plantation d’hévéa dans l’Etat Mon State (2 000 hectares). Ses revenus au 31 mars sont évalués à US $ 240 millions pour l’année 2012. Il dit avoir participé à des projets sociaux entre 1993 et 2012 pour US $ 2,3 millions. Il est encore sur la liste noire des USA en raison du manque de clarté de ses affaires, d’évasion fiscale et d’allégation de violations de droits humains. Il est Président de la Myanmar Football Federation, qu’il sponsorise et dirige la Fédération de Tennis. Il accompagne Than Shwe et sa famille en Chine en septembre et obtient le contrat de construction du port de Dawei . |

Born in Yeygi in the delta, he has 6 brothers and sisters. His father was a civil servant and his mother a saleswoman. Son-in-law of Thein Tun (businessman close to the regime), he is also close to Than Shwe and Gen Tin Aung Myint Oo. He is one of the richest businessmen in the country. While finishing his studies at the university, he took part in demonstrations against the government, went to Singapore and then to Japan where he worked as a waiter before starting cars trade. He obtained import permits for vehicles sold on the black market.
He married and returned to Burma continuing to sell cars and heavy construction equipment.Zaw Zaw created Max Myanmar Group of Companies, (beverages, precious stones and jade, transport, construction, tourism, palm oil, rubber, import of engines, mechanical parts).
In 2005, he obtained the contract to build the Naypidaw road and created a hotel company in Naypidaw. He then develops a jade mine in joint venture with the government, which brought him in 2011 US$ 17 million.
